To Appease the Evil-doers at WordPress

WordPress insists on daily prompts to lure content creators into writing something worthless to impress our betters, so here are my three pet peeves:

  1. WordPress or anybody else bothering me every day with a stupid prompt.
  2. People trying to sell me something on the web by using This One Simple Trick™, that leads to a half-hour video that I can’t fast forward through and that only reveals the one simple trick that is actually, “Send me your money.”
  3. Listicles (like this one). You know, like “The Top Ten Stupid Things You Clicked on Today!”

    I kind of agree with you Frank, but I might say that my constant impulse to dive into what my subconscious tells me is a worthless “doom-scrolling”/not fast forwardable total time wasting experience such as these pet peeves is a pet peeve for me. (I can feel myself slipping down the path of peeve even as my dampened internal warnings scream faintly “stop- don’t do it”). Note: you restless mind is NOT a pet peeve in any form.
